This is all in good fun, but should also serve as a strong reminder that, especially for high end items, it's good to learn as much as you can about the misprint or oddity that you're buying to protect yourself. It's good and normal to ask for provenance and references for a seller, and even smart people make mistakes. It's ok and good to ask for better pictures, magnified pictures, black light photos, light tests, and other measurements. If you're still uncertain, private message a group expert and ask their opinion. If you're feeling awkward about using someone's time, it's also fine to offer to tip them!
